The Friends of Valle Vista Library present our Fall Book and Bake Sale on October 12th from 9 until 2. Come join in the thrill of the hunt through thousands of used books, movies, vinyl records and music CDs as you search for a favorite author or artist or for a movie you may have missed in the theater. Used materials will be priced at $3.00 for a regular grocery bag and $4.00 for a box. Delicious baked goods will be individually wrapped and priced. Your hunting ground will be at Mohave County Library in Valle Vista at 7264 Concho Drive, Suite B. The library is a short way inside the entrance to Valle Vista. Turn off Route 66 at Milepost 71.
The Kingman High School Class of 1979 is having their 40th class reunion on October 18 and 19. The Kathryn Heidenreich Adult Center is seeking applicants for Activity Assistant. P/T 30 hrs/wk. Current salary is $11.25/hr w/ benefits of vacation and sick leave. Qualified candidate should possess: Considerable knowledge in planning & organizing a comprehensive community recreation program. Larger social events and also offered and open to the general public. Candidates should be self motivated, work independently or with a group while maintaining flexibility to adapt to changing situations, & have the ability to guide & direct others. Computer skills: a working knowledge of Windows 7 or higher, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Publisher. Graphics programs and social media platforms. Proficient in email & other online resources. Poses good communication & customer service skills. Be able to lift or carry 25 – 30 lbs, & assist in general custodial duties for the care & upkeep of the center. A full job description is availabe at the center, 1776 Airway Ave., Kingman.
