Drivers should allow extra travel time and plan for delays
| The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists to plan for brief travel delays on State Route 68 in Golden Valley west of Kingman for pavement maintenance work. The work is scheduled overnight from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Tuesday, Oct. 13, and ending Thursday, Oct. 15. SR 68 will be narrowed to one lane only with alternating east- and westbound travel between Verde Road and US 93 (mileposts 21 to 27). The speed limit will be reduced in the work zone. Motorists should be prepared to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment. The restrictions are necessary so crews can apply a sealant on the existing asphalt, which helps protect and extend the life of the roadway. |
