KINGMAN – The arrest of a Kingman man who allegedly engaged in sex with a teenager has been reported by the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO). Brian Nickolaus Eckley, 41, was booked into the Adult Detention Center on Feb. 12 for sexual conduct with a minor and luring a minor for sexual exploitation.
The Mohave County Attorney’s office subsequently added additional charges including two counts of sexual conduct with a minor and attempted sexual exploitation of a minor.
MCSO spokesman Anita Mortensen said an investigation began last November when the alleged victim told authorities she was 13 years-old when she first engaged in sexual conduct with Eckley in 2016. She said the alleged victim informed detectives of other sexual activity incidents and that Eckley would send inappropriate text messages and images of himself while asking her to reciprocate.
“Detectives located text messages received from Eckley of a sexual nature between him and the victim,” Mortensen said. “Text messages also indicated that Eckley was attempting to arrange a hotel room with the victim to have sexual intercourse.”
