FT. MOHAVE – A violent episode at the Walmart in Fort Mohave led to the arrest of a Topock man. Andrew Antonio Arthur Rodriguez Jr., 33, was booked into the Adult Detention Facility in Kingman on aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and theft related charges.
Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) deputies at 5:18 p.m. on Feb. 14 to the store in the 5200 block of highway 95.
Loss Prevention (LP) staff members advised that they witnessed a subject later identified as Rodriguez as he switched price tags on merchandise.
“When LP staff attempted to stop Rodriguez and the female subject he was with, Rodriguez pulled a knife from his pocket and pointed it at them,” said MCSO spokeswoman Anita Mortensen. “A second LP staff member attempted to stop Rodriguez in the parking lot, when Rodriguez swung the knife towards him and made contact with the staff member’s arm.”
