KINGMAN – A 10.5-year prison term was ordered May 7 for a Buckeye resident who killed his friend in Topock after they drank and argued in January. Authorities said the quarrel that began at a bar continued when parties arrived at the victim’s residence in the 13000 block of South Shore Parkway.
Deputy Mohave County attorney Rod Albright said 50-year-old James Edwards refused to leave when 49-year-old John Bondello ordered him off his property at gunpoint. Albright said Edwards backed up, then drove his vehicle forward, striking and fatally injuring Bondello.
Edwards was convicted of manslaughter through a plea agreement.
