Pavement maintenance on US 93 north of Kingman scheduled May 17-20
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists traveling on US 93, north of Kingman, to plan for intermittent lane closures and brief travel delays while crews perform pavement maintenance on the roadway.  Work will occur from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. at two locations: Monday, May 17, and Tuesday, May 18: northbound lanes will be reduced to one lane in each direction within a 7-mile section of US 93, (beginning north of the Hoover Dam Bypass between mileposts 0 and 7).Wednesday, May 19, and Thursday, May 20: intermittent north and southbound lane closures will occur beginning two miles north of Temple Bar Road to near White Hills Road (mileposts 17 to 28). One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction while the maintenance work is underway. The speed limit will be reduced in the work zone. Motorists should be prepared to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment. The restrictions are necessary so crews can apply a sealant on the existing asphalt, which helps protect and extend the life of the roadway.
