BULLHEAD CITY – An Ontario, California man was killed in a watercraft collision on the Colorado River in Bullhead City on the 4th of July. The accident in the 1400 block of Riverfront Drive was reported at 1:30 pm.
Bullhead City police department spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said it was reported that Timothy Randall David Lee, 33 was sitting on the back of the boat’s swim deck when a jet ski struck the boat.
“The force of the crash knocked Timothy Lee’s baby and mother-in-law into the water, but they were reportedly not injured,” Fromelt said. She said Lee was seriously injured and later died at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas.
Fromelt said authorities tracked down the two teenagers aboard the jet ski who fled the scene of the crash. They were issued citations.
A continuing investigation will be reviewed by the county attorney’s office for possible charging decisions.
