KINGMAN – Would-be bud bandit burglars were likely disappointed they could find no marijuana after breaking into the marijuana dispensary next to the Basha’s supermarket on Andy Devine Avenue early Sunday. Police Chief Rusty Cooper said the business had complied with state law requiring most marijuana products to be tightly secured during closing hours.
The Kingman police department distributed surveillance system images of the two men who reportedly scaled a tall fence to gain access to the business at about 2:45 a.m. He said they used a hammer to break window glass to enter the front of the store.
“Once inside, the subjects smashed open display cases, stealing CBD products and assorted cannabis accessories,” Cooper said. He said detectives had not completed an inventory of stolen items and their value.
Anyone recognizing the subjects or with information helpful to investigators is urged to contact the KPD (928-753-2191) or report anonymously to Mohave Silent Witness (928-753-1234.)
