Mohave County Superior Court Judge Carlisle considered aggravating and mitigating factors before ordering the sentence including a letter written by Nordyke documenting his history. Nordyke was allowed to speak on his behalf, and chose to mention his prior military service. The victim’s mother made a statement about the effects on the victim and the victim’s family.
Upon completion of his sentence, Nordyke will be required to register as a sex offender.
