The Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG) has announced $18.4 million in tribal gaming contributions to the Arizona Benefits Fund for the State’s third quarter of fiscal year (FY) 2020. This amount represents a 10.1 percent increase when compared to the same quarter of FY2019.

“An increase of every new gaming dollar is more money to bolster Arizona’s health care system and trauma centers, schools, and other key institutions. With over $1.5 million in additional funds compared to the same quarter of FY2019, Tribal gaming revenues continue that tradition of vital support,” said Ted Vogt, Director, Arizona Department of Gaming.

Per the Arizona Tribal-State Gaming Compact, Tribes with casinos contribute 1 to 8 percent of their Class III gross gaming revenue to the state, cities, towns and counties. With last month’s opening of the Desert Diamond West Valley Casino in Glendale, there are now 25 Class III casinos in Arizona, which ADG regulates with Arizona tribes.
