Treasurer’s Office reopens to the public

MOHAVE COUNTY – The Treasurer’s Office will reopen its cashier windows to the public on Monday June 22. Mohave County Treasurer Cindy Landa Cox said, “The reopening was delayed in order to address a design issue related to our cashier windows negative airflow which is hazardous during the COVID-19 pandemic. Thankfully, our Mohave County Public Works/Facilities staff engineered a simple solution using Plexiglas remnants.” These remnants were left over from the installation of Sneeze-Guards in other county offices.

Cox added, “the idea came from a treasury team member and worked brilliantly. This was a less than a $100 ‘bandaid’ allowing me to open the treasury cashier windows before September, 2020, when the Mohave County Public Works/Facilities will complete the permanent airflow fix. Thank you all for your patience and understanding over the past several months. My staff and I look forward to continuing to serve all your property tax related needs moving forward.”
