Vehicle. vs. 77-year-old pedestrian

KINGMAN – On Monday, August 3, at 9:12 a.m., Kingman Police investigated a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash in the 4000blk. of N. Stockton Hill Rd. at the intersection with Gordon Dr.

The initial investigation determined that a 77-year-old Kingman man was crossing Stockton Hill Rd. on foot when he was struck and run over by a Ford truck driven by a 61-year-old Kingman woman. The truck was turning left onto southbound Stockton Hill Rd. when it struck the pedestrian. The truck ran over and stopped on the pedestrian.

Two witnesses were able to lift the truck enough to free the pinned pedestrian. The pedestrian was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center with critical, but not life-threatening injuries. The crash is still under investigation.

According the a Kingman Police spokesperson, there are conflicting witness statements regarding right of way and obstruction of view. Impairment is not suspect.
