KINGMAN – The “6×6 on Route 66” Annual Fundraiser for the Kingman Center for the Arts (KCA) opens Thursday, Sept. 17 at the ArtHub on Beale Street. Participants pay $20 for original pieces of art created on a 6X6 format by local artists from Mohave County and creative community member. This is the only fundraiser for the KCA Art Gallery and helps keep the local art community alive.
“Some of these artists who donated original 6×6 artwork, normally sell their pieces for anywhere from $75 to $500 so this fundraiser provides an opportunity to buy some fantastic art at unbelievably affordable prices,” stated KCA Gallery Coordinator, Pam Malouf.
The ArtHub’s annual “6X6 on Route 66” Fundraiser is timed to coincide with what is normally a big Route 66 time in Kingman with the Andy Devine Days Festival, Chillin’ on Beale Street classic car gathering, Andy Devine Days parade, Andy Devine Days Festival & Rodeo and the Kingman Rodeo street drags. Most all of that is not happening this year but the ArtHub event will proceed. The ArtHub supports not only art but every effort to keep our city safe, therefore the City of Kingman mask and social distancing protocols will be followed.
ArtHub hours are 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday at 402 E. Beale Street in downtown Kingman.
