BULLHEAD CITY – Second semester classes resume today, January 4, for students in grades pre-kindergarten through eight in the Bullhead City School District, and Colorado River Union High School District students in grades nine through twelve.  Classes remain in-person, except for students whose parents previously requested virtual/online education.

BCSD students whose parents did not return a questionnaire about second semester enrollment options were automatically enrolled in in-person classes for January 4.  BCSD students returning in-person should also return Chromebooks issued during the last few days of the first semester.

Students in both districts who tested positive for COVID-19 over the winter break or are in quarantine should remain home until cleared by a medical professional.

Meals delivered by school bus to Bullhead City neighborhoods will resume Wednesday (January 6), with prepackaged breakfasts and lunches for three days, Thursday through Saturday.  Shelf-stable meals for the first part of the week were included in the neighborhood deliveries just before Christmas.  The regular neighborhood delivery schedule will resume on January 11, with weekly multi-day deliveries on Mondays and Wednesdays. 

These meals are for local students aged 18 and under, and are primarily for those who are attending school virtually and online.  Students attending school in-person will continue to receive school meals on campus.

The twelve food bus routes in and around Bullhead City will start delivery at 9:30 a.m.  on Wednesday.  The schedules with bus stops and times are located on the BCSD/CRUHSD website, www.crsk12.org under “Food Delivery Routes.”  District officials recommend that parents should look for the food delivery stops closest to their homes.  Parents of children with food allergies or intolerances may contact the supervisor for Chartwells K-12 Food Services, the BCSD/CRUHSD food service vendor, at (760) 413-3337 to make special arrangements before Wednesday morning’s deliveries.

Although BCSD and CRUHSD are resuming in-person classes with online options Monday, not all area schools are on the same schedule.  Parents with children in more than one district should check those other schools for updated information.

The neighborhood meal deliveries are funded by a U.S. Department of Agriculture grant.
