Multiple injuries are reported in a single vehicle traffic accident near the California border. The Department of Public Safety (DPS) said a passenger van transporting as many as a dozen people rolled over on Interstate 40 about 9 miles east of Needles at about 12:37 p.m. Tuesday.
At least 9 people were hurt in the crash.
“Six people went by ground ambulance to a hospital in Needles,” said DPS spokesman Bart Graves. “A child was flown to a Las Vegas hospital and two others were taken by ground ambulance to a hospital in Lake Havasu.”
No further details were provided initially and the accident remains under investigation.
