KINGMAN – Another of the more than two dozen defendants charged with involvement in two alleged Kingman drug-dealing organizations is going to the Arizona Department of Corrections. Sheryl Longtin, 53, entered a plea agreement Feb. 11 that will convict her of the amended and reduced charge of conspiracy to commit possession of a dangerous drug for sale.
Charges dismissed in the deal include possession of dangerous drugs for sale, illegally conducting an enterprise and conspiracy.
Assistant Arizona Attorney General Rebecca Kennelley told Judge Billy Sipe that Longtin conspired with Austreberto Acoltzi-Bautista to possess 9 grams of methamphetamine in smaller baggies packaged for sale last May. Kennelly is prosecuting many of the cases resulting from the multi-agency, 21-month-long “Operation King Crimson” investigation.
Authorities allege Acoltzi-Bautista, 48, and Carlos Ochoa-Quinones, 30, headed up Kingman-based drug trafficking operations. Both remain in custody awaiting trial.
Authorities said the investigation, over time, netted seizure of 120 pounds of meth, 2 pounds of heroin and 38 weapons, five of which were stolen.
Longtin faces a 2–4-year prison term when sentenced March 11.
