KINGMAN – Kingman police report the arrest of a suspected serial burglar. A number of homes, churches and other targets had been burgled along the Stockton Hill corridor over the past month.

Police Chief Rusty Cooper said investigation identified Matthew Dylan Deal, 27, as a suspect. Deal reportedly fled on foot when spotted by an officer about 4:00 p.m. Tuesday in the 2600 block of Stockton Hill Road.

Deal was captured a short distance away and booked into jail for theft and three counts of burglary.

“The charges are the result of burglaries to a church in the 2100 block of Harrison St., a church in the 1800 block of Gates Ave. and a home in the 1900 block of Miami Ave,” Cooper said. He said Deal admitted involvement and that additional charges are expected through ongoing investigation.
