MOHAVE COUNTY – The County will be receiving 8,000 doses of the Moderna vaccine this week, a continuation of the amount of that vaccine received from the state for each of the past three weeks. ADHS informed counties that the Johnsons & Johnson supply chain is unstable and will be so for the next two weeks. As a result, the State did not receive an allocation of Johnson & Johnson vaccine for next week and therefore, the county will not receive an allocation. It is not expected to be resolved for at least two weeks. County Health Director Denise Burley says “we’re naturally disappointed that we will not receive additional Johnson and Johnson vaccine next week, but, we are looking forward to a resolution in the coming weeks.”
Wednesday, March 17, a special drive-thru vaccine event will take place in Lake Havasu City. The County’s Moderna COVID vaccine event will be administered by local Safeway pharmacists at the north-side Fire Station in Lake Havasu City from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Fire Station 2 is located at 2065 Kiowa Blvd, LHC, 86403. There will be 500 appointments available. All will be first dose shots only.
Appointments must be made at https://kordinator.mhealthcoach.net/vcl/1615414188217
The Vaccine shot will only be administered to those who are currently eligible and make an appointment using the link above. Please make sure to bring both medical and prescription insurance cards, including your Medicare Part B card (red, white and blue card) if applicable. Again, this is a drive thru clinic. Follow the signs, remain in your vehicle, and you must wear a mask.
In Kingman last Wednesday, there were 521 doses successfully administered and those individuals are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
