Kick up your heels with Boots and Bling

BULLHEAD CITY –Bullhead City Parks and Recreation is offering the community an opportunity to kick up their heels at the Suddenlink Community Center by offering a new dance program.  Boots & Bling Country will have their first offering of boot scootin’ fun Thursday, April 8 at 2p.m. in the Suddenlink Center gymnasium.

The classes are free of charge and welcome everybody, including beginners and those new to country dance. The instructor of the classes is Jim Steen.  With his wife Nora lending a hand with marketing and promotion, their goal is to provide the community with a comfortable, friendly environment for line dance instruction that can benefit everybody in the Bullhead City and tri-state area.

“I couldn’t be more excited to offer this program at the Suddenlink Community Center. Jim is an excellent instructor.  He and Nora have a passion for what they do and love to be able to bring this kind of fun and exercise to residents in town.”, said Dave Heath, Parks & Recreation Superintendent.

According to Heath, Boots & Bling has been running in Rotary Park for several weeks, but have decided to move the program indoors for the summer months.

The program is for all adults and will provide them instruction on a variety of line dances.  Jim and Nora promote dance as a way to relieve stress, improve memory, stay social, enhance balance and provide a creative escape. All adults are encouraged to attend, whether individually or as a couple.

Boots & Bling Country will be offered at the Suddenlink Community Center every Thursday, from 2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. and Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. throughout the summer.

Anybody seeking additional information about the program should call Jim Steen at 520-425-2238 or Bullhead City Parks & Recreation at 928-763-0148.
