Rt 66 Drive Thru planned in lieu of Fun Run

Share

KINGMAN – The Route 66 Fun Run has been postponed until 2022. Event organizers made the difficult decision with the information they had at the time. However, the Kingman Office of Tourism has also heard from so many Route 66 enthusiasts who don’t want to miss out and are planning a Route 66 Drive experience nonetheless. So, in celebration of the special weekend, and to kick off National Travel & Tourism Week, the City of Kingman is setting up a Route 66 Drive Thru Arch at Lewis Kingman Park on Friday and Saturday, April 30 – May 1. It will be set up from 12pm to 4pm both days.

This is not an event, there will be no entertainment or space for a car show. Instead of inviting participants to stick around the park after driving under the arch, they will be sent out to Kingman restaurants and businesses.

The pathway thru Lewis Kingman Park will be one way only both days, with cars entering from Andy Devine Avenue on the northeast entrance, and exiting on the southwest. The Route 66 Drive Thu at Lewis Kingman Park is not an actual event, there will be no entertainment or space for a car show.
