Graduation to commence in Kingman

KINGMAN – The Kingman Unified School District (KUSD) will conduct separate live, in-person commencement ceremonies for graduating seniors on May 24 at Kingman High School and on May 25 at Lee Williams High School. Superintendent Gretchen Dorner says just above 200 seniors are graduating at both high schools.
COVID-19 pandemic protocols are in place for both ceremonies. Graduates will be spaced 3 feet apart and provided up to 6 tickets for guests of their choice.
“That’s not a very popular decision right now,” Dorner said. “We’re receiving lots of phone calls and emails. Folks are really wanting us to open the gates to everybody, but we feel it’s important to have the spacing between the graduates and limit the crowd.”
Those with tickets are advised to arrive early and get settled for the 7:00 p.m. graduation ceremonies. Others can watch the commencement events either live stream or archived on the KUSD YouTube portal.
