KINGMAN – It has been a year of changes for Mohave County however, one thing that has not changed is the dogs and cats that are brought to the shelter. These furry friends need forever homes, and some have medical conditions which at times includes surgery, medications, hospital stays and treatments.  Friends of Mohave County Animal Shelter (501c3) is a group of volunteers that raise money for all the special needs of these animals, all proceeds go directly to the shelter.  We also provide transportation to no-kill partners and subsidize adoptions for harder to place animals or when the shelter becomes over crowded.

Funds are desperately needed, and we are reaching out to our community for help. A fundraiser is planned for Saturday May 22 at Beale Celebrations starting with a “Yappy Hour” with appetizers included and a no host bar.  Hand crafted beers provided by Black Bridge Brewery as well as wine will be available followed with dinner prepared by Chef Michael Gaul.  We will have Music, Raffles and Door Prizes.
