KINGMAN – A case investigation that began when two 13-year-old girls were being treated for extreme intoxication at Kingman Regional Medical Center results in an older teenager being placed on probation and sentenced to jail. Police Chief Rusty Cooper said in early January that 18-year-old Cody Ladewig admitting plying both girls with alcohol before engaging in sex with one of them.

Ladewig was sentenced to 275 days jail Monday after pleading guilty to a reduced charge of child abuse with sexual motivation. Mohave County Superior Court Judge Rick Lambert ordered that Ladewig spend 25 years on supervised probation once his jail term is completed.
