Last week we were saddened by the passing of Sandra Sue Leeman.

Sandy passed peacefully Sunday, June 13, 2021 (which coincides with her mother’s birthday) at the Kingman Regional Medical Center with her husband Gene by her side.

She had been battling cancer and COPD for many years.

Sandy was born July 14, 1946 to Orval Edward “Buck” Henzler and Wilma Philo Henzler in Ponca City, Oklahoma. She graduated Enid High School in 1964. She moved between Oklahoma, California, Nevada, and then settled in Lake Havasu City.

Sandy spend many happy summers boating, off roading, and camping with her family and friends. This couple frequented Las Vegas and Laughlin often, as they both enjoyed video poker and bingo. Sandy was an avid reader, and took pleasure in gardening. She sure did love gardening, animals, and chocolate for sure!

Preceding Sandy in passing, was her daddy and stepmother Buck and Willa Henzler, her mother and stepfather Wilma and Don Henson, her sister and brother Marilyn “Dutie” Putnam and Stan Henzler.

A celebration of life will be held in her honor at a later date. She will always be remembered for her sweet soul and her amazing Oklahoma southern drawl
