BULLHEAD CITY – Authorities have provided few new details regarding a deadly Officer Involved Shooting (OIS) over the weekend in Bullhead City. The Lake Havasu City police department is conducting an outside, independent investigation, standard procedure in OIS incidents.

Lake Havasu Police Detective Chris Angus said Bullhead City police officers were dispatched at 1:45 p.m. Saturday to a report of a man with a baseball bat causing a domestic disturbance in the 1600 block of Ramar Road.

Officers made contact with the suspect, at which time a physical confrontation ensued,” Angus said in a news release. “As a result of the confrontation, an officer shot the male suspect and he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.”

Angus said the officer suffered minor injuries, but provided no details. The names of dead man and the officer are withheld at this time.
