Drivers should use caution and allow extra travel time
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for daytime lane closures on north- and southbound US 93 near the junction with State Route 71 north of Wickenburg.The following restrictions will occur from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Monday, July 26: US 93 will be narrowed to one lane only with alternating north- and southbound travel between mileposts 183-186 near the junction with SR 71.Flaggers will direct drivers through the work zone.The closures are needed for maintenance crews to install center rumble strips and raised pavement markings.ADOT has been working diligently on making improvements to US 93 between Wickenburg and Interstate 40 for more than 20 years. This segment is more than 100 miles in length and, to date, ADOT has improved approximately two thirds of the roadway. ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around personnel and equipment while pavement repairs are underway.
