PARKER – Two people were killed in a head-on collision near Parker Dam. The Department of Public Safety (DPS) said troopers responded at 11:44 a.m. Saturday to the highway 95 accident on highway 95, near the exit to the Buckskin Mountain State Park.

“Early investigation indicates a vehicle traveling southbound attempted to make a pass in a no passing zone,” DPS said in a news release. “That vehicle collided head on with a northbound passenger car.”

DPS said the driver of the northbound vehicle and a passenger in the southbound vehicle were fatally injured. Names were not released initially and the crash investigation continues.
