Halloween season is fast approaching, and with it comes Ghost Walk auditions! On Sept. 10 and 11, auditions will be held for the Fifth Annual Kingman Historic Ghost Walk. Actors, tour guides, ghosts, and support staff are all needed! Actors are asked to bring a 1-minute monologue or ghost story. Please come either day, not both. Drumming for Your Health and Well-Being will take place on both Sept. 10 and Sept. 24 at 315 W Beale St at 6:30 p.m. Playing the drums helps people express themselves and get in touch with their emotional state. KRMC’S 32^nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament will be taking place this Saturday, Sept. 11 at the Cerbat cliffs Golf Course with at 7:30 a.m. shotgun start. An awards ceremony will follow the end of play with lunch provided. The tournament will also include raffles, as well as cash prizes and various challenges for golfers. The KRMC Joan and Diana Hospice Home and the KRMC Foundation’s Catch It Early program both benefit from the funds raised by the tournament. On Sept. 11, the City of Kingman invites everyone in the community to a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony to honor the victims of the Sept. 11 attacks. Join City of Kingman first responders at Locomotive Park this Saturday at 8:30 a.m. to hold a special remembrance ceremony. The nation now observes Patriot Day annually as a National Day or Service and Remembrance for the thousands of lives lost in the 9/11 attacks. Locomotive Park is located at 310 W Beale St.

Next weekend, beginning on Sept. 16 and running until Sept. 19, the Mohave County Fair will be coming to town! Come and join the fun and excitement at the Mohave County Fairgrounds (2600 Fairgrounds Blvd). It is a countywide fair, complete with livestock and crafts exhibits, live entertainment, tons of vendors, a carnival, and much more! On Sept. 18, there will be an Andy Devine Days Chillin’ on Beale. This car show is going to be fully loaded with fun and excitement! There will be 3 separate bands playing throughout the evening, as well as a historical presentation from Jim Hinckley about Andy Devine and Route 66. A raffle will be held every hour featuring some amazing prizes! The car sow will end with a dance party from 7-9 p.m. There will be plenty of vendors, as well as snow cones and face painting for children. The show will take place on Beale St. in downtown Kingman. On Sept. 19 at Metcalfe Park, the Riptides will be performing a free concert! The “Sounds of Kingman” invites you to bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and coolers to come enjoy some of the best music in Kingman that money just can’t buy. On Sept. 22, join the members of the Kingman Fire Department as they celebrate 100 years of service to the citizens of Kingman. Station tours and live fire/rescue demonstrations will be followed with refreshments. The celebration starts at 5 p.m. at 1605 Harrison St.

The Kingman Moose Lodge #1704 is hosting a Charity Golf Tournament at Cerbat Cliffs Golf Course on Saturday, Sept. 25 with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. The tournament will include raffles and cash prizes and challenges for golfers. Proceeds from the tournament will be donated to the Kathryn Heidenreich Adult Center. A “Thank Goodness It’s Fall” Car Show will take place on Sept. 25 at Great American Pizza, located at 6775 Hwy. 68 in Golden Valley. The show begins at 9 a.m. and will feature classic cars, hot rods, rat rods, trucks, motorcycles, and more! All are welcome! There will be homemade trophies, burnout contests, a raffle, and an auction which will include Rat Fink memorabilia. 100% of the proceeds will go to supplying children of Kingman with Christmas gifts. Also on Sept. 25 will be the Andy Devine Days Parade. It’s that time of year when the Kingman community comes together to celebrate the Annual Andy Devine Days Parade! Each year, entries in the parade celebrate Kingman’s western heritage and its roots in the railroad, Route 66, ranching, and rodeos. Enjoy all that Kingman has to offer as we remember the past and look to the future! The parade will begin at 10 a.m. and travel down Beale St. starting at First St. and head towards Fifth St. The floats will then turn onto Oak St. and move up Second toward Spring St. and finally end at First St. For more details, please call (928)757-7919.

Beginning this Sept., on the fourth Saturday of every month, will be an “Open Mic Night and Campfire Jam Session.” The event will take place outdoors, under the stars, at Saddle Sore Ranch off Oatman Hwy between mile markers 36 and 37. Campfire and PA system will be provided. Everyone is welcome! The night will begin at 7 p.m. Coolers are welcome, but please do not bring any glass. And finally, to really welcome in the Fall season, the GCPRA Rodeo is coming to town Sept. 25 and 26! The Rodeo will be located at the Mohave County Fairgrounds. Saturday, Slack starts at 9 a.m. and is open to the public. Gates will reopen at 4 p.m. and the rodeo will begin at 6 p.m. Keep your ticket stubs and enjoy the outdoor post Rodeo Dance planned to run until midnight!
