MEADVIEW – The criminal case involving the alleged molestation of a teenager in Meadview will be resolved short of trial if Judge Doug Camacho approves a proposed plea agreement. Scott Ward, 30, pleaded guilty Wednesday to a reduced charge of attempted sexual conduct with a minor.
Case investigation began in June 2020 when a woman advised that a Montana man working for the family engaged in improper communication and touching with her 14-year-old granddaughter. Terms of the deal dictate non-prison punishment involving 120 days in jail and lifetime probation.
Ward will be sentenced on Oct. 13 if Camacho approves the deal.
