KINGMAN – UniSource Energy Services is encouraging Kingman-area customers who recently dropped off bill payments to contact the company after some payments were stolen from a courtesy drop box. Customers who dropped payments in the courtesy payment drop box at UniSource’s administrative office, 2498 Airway Ave., between Friday, Sept. 17 and Monday, Sept. 20 are encouraged to call our Customer Care team as soon as possible at 877-837-4968.

Customers also are encouraged to review their bank accounts to see if check payments have cleared, and to contact their financial institutions to discuss security measures that can help prevent account and identity fraud.

The theft occurred at around 3 a.m. on Monday. Surveillance footage shows two people tampering with a lock and removing multiple envelopes from the drop box before walking south on Rutherford Street. UniSource is providing surveillance footage of the theft to the Kingman Police Department and is evaluating measures to increase security at the drop box site.
