Operation King Crimson: Chipman takes plea

Share

MOHAVE COUNTY – Well more than half of some two dozen cases charged in the Operation King Crimson investigation of two Kingman-based drug organizations have been resolved through plea agreements. The latest plea deal was entered Friday, Aug. 13 on behalf of Ronald Chipman, 28, Kingman.

Chipman is convicted of one count of possession of narcotic drugs for sale and two reduced charges of attempted possession of narcotic drugs for sale. Prosecutors told Judge Billy Sipe that the convictions involve the defendant’s efforts to secure various amounts of heroin for sale on 3 separate occasions in 2020.

Chipman faces a 3-to-8.5-year prison term when sentenced September 17.
