Let the follower of Jesus take heart even in the tumultuous times that we live. We are witnessing the demise of a nation that’s flaunting its hatred toward God and His church. Mankind apart from a true relationship with God will always be rebellious toward Him and constantly suppressing the truth of the Word.
Psalm 2:3 “let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us.”
Romans 1:18 says that fallen men “suppress the truth in unrighteousness.”
Christian let us not forget that Jesus Christ is “King of kings and Lord of lords.” All of creation belongs to Him. Remember there is nothing outside the power and control of the Almighty. This is His world and He is redeeming a people for Himself even as you read this. Therefore, clothe yourselves with the armor of God, fight the good fight and remain standing.
Jesus told the disciples before His ascension that all authority has been granted Him by Father, over both heaven and earth. Don’t miss it, and “earth” not just heaven. It was after that declaration that He commanded his disciples to go into all nations and make disciples. So here we are two thousand years later, and the glorious gospel is going out all over the world and fulfilling all that God has decreed to be accomplished.
Imagine a world where righteousness prevails. Where evil is diminished. Where love is most common. Where peace and joy reign in the hearts of men. Where relationships are whole and everlasting. Where all life is cherished. Where the unborn are cherished instead of murdered.
In the meantime we preach the gospel, calling men and women to repent and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ the only hope by which God has given for man to be saved.
So, let us put our trust in the Lord and be the people that He has set us apart to be.
Now go and serve your King!
