Mohave County has enjoyed an extended stretch of declining numbers of new COVID-19 cases.
“We’ve experienced a 9% reduction in reported cases from the previous week,” Department of Public Health Director Denise Burley told Mohave County Supervisors Monday. “We’re seeing some positive trends and having that occur three weeks in a row is a very good sign for us.”
Burley told board members that numbers from the health care sector look good too.
“We’re starting to see some of the strain removed from our hospitals, the number of people in our ICU beds,” Burley added. Burley attributed the local case downturn to effective public cooperation with mask, social distance and hygiene directives.
The county has transitioned to a new web page and fact sheet to display its coronavirus data.
