KINGMAN – On October 1the Mohave County Animal Shelter received over 50 cats and kittens. Another 30 or so are expected in the next few days; all from a hoarding case. The cat condo was just finished last month. Kristin Friet, Low Cost Spay and Neuter clinic’s Marketing Manager, spent her vacation and weekends fixing up the condo and it was finished not a minute too soon. Even with this space the shelter is overflowing with kittens.
Donations of both dry and wet cat and kitten food will be most appreciated. Friskies pate canned is preferred. You can take your donations to the Mohave County Animal Shelter, 950 Buchanan St., Downtown Kingman.
Because of the volume of cats brought into the shelter this will stretch the County’s budget to get them spayed/neutered and vaccinated. Friends of Mohave County Animal Shelter is stepping in to supplement the budget. Your help is needed to help pay for these surgeries and vaccines. You can also help by adopting. These are very healthy and friendly kitties. It will take time to get them all fixed and ready, so you can go to the shelter and pick your kitty. We can then have it spayed / neutered and ready for you to take home. Please call for an appointment 928-753-2727
