BULLHEAD CITY – The City of Bullhead City in sponsorship with Mohave Shred and Nevada State Recycling will be hosting their annual residential household electronic waste and shred day on Saturday, November 14 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will be held in the Bullhead City Public Works parking lot at 1285 Alona’s Way. Residents from the surrounding communities are invited to join Bullhead City residents for a day of recycling in a safe manner.
Mohave Shred will shred papers for a nominal fee of $5 per box and limited to five boxes per household. This is the securest way to shred your confidential documents.
Nevada State Recycling will accept the items listed below for free during the event. Hard drives will be removed and destroyed from phones and computers.
BRING: appliances – audio and video tapes – cellular phones – fax machine, copiers and printers -laptop and notebook computers – speakers – modems and routers – VCR players – televisions, LCD, CRT and plasma screens – wires and connectors.
Residents will be also be able to recycle their household hazardous waste items for free the same day at the Mohave County Residential Household Hazardous Waste Collection location at the Motor Vehicle Division parking lot at 1325 Alona’s Way from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
They will be accepting the following items: Aerosol cans – automotive fluids – motor oil – transmission fluid, antifreeze, brake fluid – auto and light truck tires off the rim – batteries – compact fluorescent bulbs (CFLs) – creosote – fertilizer – gasoline and kerosene – hobby and photographic chemicals – household cleaners – mercury – outdated medications – paint products – latex, oil based, alkaloid and bases, paint thinners – pesticides, herbicides and weed killer – pool chemicals – water sealers – any other household product labeled “caution, warning, danger, poison, toxic, flammable, combustible or corrosive.”
Residents should not bring: commercial or industrial waste – explosives – ammunition – commercial tires – radioactive waste – furniture – any material from businesses or institutions.
