LAKE HAVASU CITY – A Lake Havasu City woman who sold drugs to a confidential informant has entered a plea agreement that will send her to the Arizona Department of Corrections. Jacqueline Metz, 35, pleaded guilty Feb. 3 to attempted sale of dangerous drugs.

Deputy Mohave County attorney Bob Moon said Metz sold an eighth of an ounce of methamphetamine to the informant for $90 on Dec. 9, 2019. Moon said the transaction was to have occurred at Metz’s home but that she instead directed the wire wearing informant to meet at an apartment complex where the drug and cash exchange and arrest took place in the 2100 block of Swanson Ave.

Metz admitted the crime constituted violation of her probation for previous convictions for forgery, taking the identification of another and unlawful use of means of transportation.

The plea deal requires Mohave County Superior Court judge Rick Lambert to impose a six-year prison term. Sentencing is scheduled March 8.
