KINGMAN – The Friends of the Mohave County Library-Kingman has been providing a new online way of purchasing books/items during the COVID restrictions. A virtual online book sale is available on their Facebook site. During the past months the virtual sales received very positive feedback with some requests to continue online sales even after the startup of onsite book sales. The resumption date of library onsite book sales is still in question. The next virtual online sale session will begin, February 20, through March 1. Each sale starts approximately every six weeks and runs for about 10 days.
How the sale works: They divide the books by genre making it easy for people to focus on their interests. Each genre has its own post. Under the genre post is a separate comment for each book/item identifying its title, author, price, and condition with a link to an on-line description and reviews. To purchase the item, a buyer enters a reply to the comment with “sold”. At the end of the sale session, they gather and bundle each buyer’s items. Buyer’s pickup and pay for their bundle on pickup day. (Pickup site is within the Library area).
The next sale will start February 20. You can find the Friends Facebook page by searching in Facebook for, Friends Mohave County Library – Kingman, go to https://www.facebook.com/189571054400648/posts/3687373681287017/
