KINGMAN – Kingman police report three arrests and they’re looking for a fourth suspect in the robbery of a local man. Police Chief Rusty Cooper said the 32-year-old victim claimed three male adults robbed him Sunday night as he was walking near a convenience store in the 3400 block of Andy Devine Ave.
“The three male subjects exited a parked SUV and quickly approached him,” Cooper said. “One of the subjects reportedly demanded that the victim give them his cell phone and wallet or he would be shot.”
Cooper said the man complied, fearing that one of the men had something in his waistband that appeared to be a weapon. The subjects fled in the SUV that was reportedly driven by a 16-year-old girl.
Video surveillance reportedly corroborated the robbery story and investigation led to the location of the suspect vehicle and the arrests of the teenager, John Williams, 38, and Marc Hightower, 18. The trio is charged with armed robbery.
“The third male suspect is described as an adult black male, thin build, mid-20’s , wearing dark colored clothing and a hoody,” Cooper said. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department (928-753-2191) or Silent Witness (928-753-1234).
