KINGMAN – Kini is nine years old. His life was abruptly changed when he was three and was in a car hit by a drunk driver. The accident left him with a spinal cord injury and without use of his lower body. A wheelchair became his only means of being moved around. As he got a little older he was able to maneuver it himself.
Currently, Kini and his parents go to Phoenix once a month to adjust braces or measure for a new wheelchair as Kini grows. Everyday is a challenge! Kini has crutches these days as he learns to “walk”.
The expenses of braces, crutches, wheelchairs and travel has made it extremely hard for his parents.
Through the generosity of the Shriners of Kingman and Attwood’s Appliance, Kini was recently presented with a specially built bike.
