KINGMAN – A Kingman man has admitted involvement in the molestation of two young girls over a three-year period. Navi Curtis, 21, is resolving his criminal case through a plea agreement that will send him to the Arizona Department of Corrections.
Curtis pleaded guilty May 21 to charges reduced to attempted child molestation and attempted sexual conduct with a minor. Deputy Mohave County attorney Karolina Czaplinska said the defendant was 15 to 18 years of age when he committed the sex offenses between Jan. 2014 and the end of Dec., 2017.
Czaplinksa said one victim was 7 to 10 years old during that time frame while the other was 10 to 13. The illegal activity reportedly occurred at a north Kingman home in the 3700 block of N. Wells St.
Mohave County Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle scheduled a June 18 sentencing hearing. Curtis can get up to five years prison followed by probation, possibly for life.
