BULLHEAD CITY – On July 2, at 10:15 p.m. Bullhead City Fire Department (BHCFD) crews were dispatched to an area across from 660 Hwy. 95 for a reported brush fire that was burning close to the highway. According to a BHCFD spokesperson, a large brush fire was burning with approximately 20 foot flames lengths.

Battalion Chief McCabe advised the blaze was roughly 1.5 acres in size. A neighboring camp was found near the area of origin; however, the cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time.

The Bullhead Fire Department would like to remind all citizens to be aware of your surrounding environment. The vegetation is extremely dry at this time of year and it only takes one spark to ignite a fire. Fire safety is everyone’s responsibility
