BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City Fire Department crews were dispatched to Desert Valley Elementary School on August 10 at approximately 3:10 pm for a report of smoke in a single classroom. Upon their arrival, all students and teachers had safely evacuated the affected area. Firefighters immediately laddered the rooftop and cleared the interior ceiling area checking for any signs of fire. Light smoke was found coming from a single A/C unit. Power to the unit was isolated, and the building was given the all-clear.
No injuries were reported from this incident.
