Kingman Young Marines take aim at Pearl Harbor Day

KINGMAN – The Kingman Young Marines are selling raffle tickets to raise funds for Operation Pearl Harbor, a trip that will take a total of four Young Marines and three adult volunteers to Hawaii during the week of December 7th to attend the ceremonies and events being hosted as part of National Pearl Harbor Day of Remembrance. The Kingman Young Marines will join other Young Marine Units from around the country in order to participate in this 80th Anniversary ceremony.

The raffle tickets are for a .22 caliber rifle and a 12-gauge shotgun, donated by The Gun Shop and Joe’s Bangroom, respectively. The rifle is a Rossi Rio Bravo 22 LR measuring at 18” and holding 15 rounds; the shotgun is a 20” Citadel Warthog semi-automatic.

Tickets are being sold for $1 each, or $5 for a bundle of 6 tickets. The drawing will be held at noon on September 19th at the Mohave County Fair. Tickets can be obtained by contacting the Kingman Young Marines’ facebook page or by contacting the Kingman Marine Corps League at (928) 897-0953. Participants need not be present at the Fair in order to win, but all participants must be 18 years or older to be eligible.
