Jennifer and Cris Buoncure, lead performers of Goodheart, set up for an afternoon of Rock and Roll.

KINGMAN – Sunday, the 22nd of August. The sound music could be heard echoing from Metcalfe Park. Songs from the Beatles, Joe Cocker, and other iconic rock and roll bands. Goodheart took the stage and delighted the crowd with music ranging from Classic Rock to R&B, Blues, and Country. Everyone who came to watch seemed to enjoy themselves. Many in the crowd tapped their foot to the music. Some even stood up and danced.

Goodheart comprised of front person Jennifer and Cris Buoncure handling vocals. Jennifer plays bass and Chris is on lead guitar while Augie Buoncuore strums guitar and John Zambrano keeps the beat playing percussion. The band’s broad musical range pulled in Kingman locals for a relaxing afternoon in the park. Viewers were encouraged to bring their chairs, blankets, and refreshments. There was also a snow cone vendor serving ice-cold treats.

Sounds of Kingman, a local organization, put on the concert at Metcalfe Park, is now in their eleventh season of the Sounds of Kingman concert series, arranging free concerts in the park. Local sponsors support the organization, this month’s show being sponsored by Dankrite Productions, a marketing and animation company. Sounds of Kingman and Dankrite presented a raffle for a new iPad. The proceeds will aid in the administrative cost of the organization, paying musicians, and continuing the mission of “Creating entertainment opportunities to educate, inform, and inspire our community.”

For the future of the Sounds of Kingman concert series, you can look forward to the Riptides’ musical talents, a classic rock tribute band, being held in September.
