KINGMAN – One of the victims of a Thursday morning natural gas explosion in Chandler is a former Kingman resident who broadcast Kingman High School sports in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. 58-year-old Glenn Jordan suffered severe injuries along with 3 other men when the blast knocked the roof off of a print facility, 2 suites away from where he was working inside his All American Eye Glass repair shop off Ray Rd.
Jordan and the others were transported to the Arizona Burn center where they were listed in serious or critical condition. The cause of the explosion is the focus of ongoing investigation.
Jordan relocated years ago and has been successful in business and family endeavors while keeping in contact with local friends. He has been a member of the Kingman Senior Softball traveling tournament team (sponsored by Taco Bell) for nearly a decade. With a penchant for headfirst slides and his soiled Pig Pen uniform, and respected for his hustle and blazing speed, Jordan won the fastest man skill competition when KSS finished 2nd at the Tournament of Champions in Florida 5 years ago.
