Anthony Olave wanted to share his life experiences while pursuing his RN with others by creating a Podcast called “So, Here It Is.” The podcast covers the best and worst of what life can throw at people and suggestions on how to handle it. In addition to this, he started a Critical Care Journal Club at a local hospital that discusses current critical care studies throughout the country. These actions are just a few of those that shows how dedicated Anthony is to his field, patients, co-workers, family and friends.
Anthony has been in the medical field for 10 years, working as an LNA since 2012 and then as an LPN in May 2020. He has worked as an LPN in the local emergency room and pediatric home health while putting himself through school to obtain his RN. He graduated from nursing school and became an RN in December 2020.
Anthony gives 110% in everything he does, he cares a great deal about all those he takes care of. He loves listening to their life stories, their ups and downs, and being they’re in their time of need. If Anthony could save them all he would do and give them anything to make that happen. He sacrifices a great deal of time with his family, sleep, and “me time”, to ensure he takes care of all those that have the pleasure of having him in their lives.
Anthony married Cierra Ragan in 2019. Cierra works as an EMT and also as a unit coordinator at a local hospital. They share a 12-year-old son, and are expected their first baby together this December. Anthony coaches city league and middle school football full time for his son’s teams while he continues to further his education; he is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree. His long-term goal is the become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
As everyone knows this last year has been extremely difficult for anyone in the medical field, Anthony and his wife Cierra have continued to work through this pandemic, sacrificing themselves and their family time to be there at this desperate time of need.
