LAUGHLIN – Aquarius Casino Resort, located at 1900 S. Casino Dr., and Edgewater Casino Resort, located at 2020 S. Casino Dr., collected a grand total of 17,373 new school supplies during their annual back to school donation drive.
“All of us at Aquarius and Edgewater look forward to back to school season and being able to collect and donate thousands of supplies to our local schools,” said Sean Hammond, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Aquarius Casino Resort and Edgewater Casino Resort. “We know how much it means to the kids to have new supplies, and that it can help take the burden off parents and teachers who have worked so hard to ease the transition back into the classroom this year.”
Team members at both casino resorts had a friendly interdepartmental competition to collect the most school supplies, including pens, markers, notebooks, folders, art supplies, and more. First place was awarded to the General and Administrative team, who collected 7,142 items; the Marketing and Player Development team took second with 6,607 items; and third place went to the Casino Operations team, who collected 2,223 items. The supplies will be distributed amongst nearby schools, including Black Mountain Elementary School in Golden Valley, Bennett Elementary School in Laughlin, and Desert Valley Elementary School in Bullhead City.
