KINGMAN – The Morning Glories—a local club affiliated with Community and Family Interest Clubs (CFIC)—is raising money to help fund scholarships for Kingman youth by hosting a Hobo Haven Chili Cook-Off. The Cook-Off will take place on Saturday, Oct. 9 at 4:30 p.m. It will be held at St. John’s United Methodist Church located at 1730 Kino Ave.
The Cook-Off will have a costume contest—Prize for Best Dressed Hobo—as well as a raffle. Raffle tickets are $1 per ticket, or $6 for a bundle of 5 tickets. Donations will also be accepted, and the Morning Glories recommend donations be at least $5 to help cover chili beans and cornbread.
CFIC is an organization dedicated to supporting continuing education and community involvement, and many of their members volunteer in other capacities. For more information on the Morning Glories, please email KingmanMorningGlories@gmail.com.
