Plan for pavement maintenance on US 93 north of Wickenburg for next two weeks

Share

Drivers on US 93 near the junction with SR 71 north of Wickenburg should plan for delays over the next two weeks while the Arizona Department of Transportation performs pavement maintenance work beginning Monday, June 28.

US 93 will be narrowed to one lane only with alternating north- and southbound travel between mileposts 183 and 186 near the junction with SR 71 weekdays from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Flaggers will be onsite to direct traffic through the work zone. There will also be a 14-foot vehicle width restriction in place.

Work is scheduled to finish on Thursday, July 8. There will be no work or restrictions on the weekend, including Monday, July 5, in observance of Independence Day.

The lane closures are needed for maintenance crews to complete work on the roadway in order to protect and extend the life of the pavement.

ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around personnel and equipment while pavement repairs are underway.

No if people will follow the slow down signs.U.S.93 has become a “take your chance” on driving today “highway..Drivers passing against solid line.In such a hurry. And so many killed,it’s terrible.Need more law enforcement possibly in unmarked cars to watch and ticket the violators.
