KINGMAN – On Thursday Sept. 16 at 5:51 a.m., Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a construction site in the area of N. Thompson Way and E. Ames Ave. in reference to a delayed burglary. The investigation revealed that unknown suspects had cut through a chain link fence and made entry into a construction storage site. Once within the fence, the suspects then cut the locking device off a storage trailer and removed several pieces of construction equipment. The investigating deputy located shoe and tire impressions left behind by the suspects.
A Deputy followed the tire impressions which lead to a residence in the 3100 block of Potter Ave. Both the shoe and tire impressions found at the scene of the burglary were found on the property. Detectives with the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and assisted with the investigation. A Search Warrant for the residence was obtained and executed, during which one of the suspects was found hiding within the residence. The stolen property was recovered within the residence and additional property was recovered from a vacant field where it was hidden by the suspects. The total value of the stolen and recovered property was estimated at over $35,000.00.
